Find your best side

Tips & Tricks

March 19, 2021

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]You’ve heard people say “that’s not my good side”.  What does that actually mean?  Some things like the way your hair is parted, or perhaps you have a cowlick you want to avoid being seen. Maybe a scar is a deciding factor. Whatever it is, your best side ultimately boils down to how you feel. You may not have a preference, which is completely ok. In fact, people that do worry about showing their “best side” might be envious you don’t care.  It got me thinking. Do you actually have a better side over the other? If so, how do you find your best side?

This week’s blog circle topic is a self-portrait. Do I actually have a, best side? If you’re on Tiktok there’s this new filter that creates a full face using just your left side and another with just your right side. Both mirroring the same side.  For some people, they looked like identical twins yet others looked like fraternal twins. Isn’t that weird and extremely intriguing?  Let’s try it.

To have a good base I started by straightening my hair. If my curls are off-center that might change the appearance of my face.

ALL OF ME.

SO weird. Have you ever tried this? I had no idea what to expect. Besides feeling uncomfortable looking at myself this long it was interesting to see how each side equals me. In the end, I think my right side is more youthful.

Note to husband: you need to stand on my left side from now on and let my youthful side shine. hee hee

I’m going to wrap this post up with my goofball husband being himself.

This is soooo intriguing! There is definitely a difference. I don’t think any of my sides are good ones. LOL. Love the photo of your husband! What finger is he holding up at the bottom of the photo? 🙂

  2. Tracy Allard says:

Wow, that’s amazing how different the two images looked! But I do prefer the “all of me” one and laughed out loud when I scrolled to your husband’s photo – I bet you too are a hoot on a shoot! :)))

  3. This was fantastic. Both sides of you are beautiful! Have you ever tried the Reface app where you replace faces on GIFs with your face? I had way too much fun with that for about a week.

  4. Wow, that’s a novel approach to this topic and I like what you have shown us – I’ll vote for “All of Me”. I am thinking that your husband and mine would have a good time together!
